Henry Etta Mokongo

1. He is a graduate from the University of Yaounde (Cameroon) and holds a First Degree in Public Law (LLB Hons). In his quest for professional training he succeeded the entrance examination into the National School of Administration and Magistracy “ENAM” and did two years from 1999-2001 graduating with a Diploma in Finance Administration as an Inspector of Customs Administration. As a qualified Customs Officer, he had worked in several capacities including but not limited to verification, Auditing and supervision.

Presently he heads the Customs Department attached to the Douala International Airport. He abets, counsel and profer professional assistance in IP enforcement measures, the detection of gray and counterfeited products, market surveys and the customs recordation of registered brands.

He is currently the Director of Administration and Finance the National Agency for Quality and Norms “ANOR” in Yaounde Cameroon. ANOR is a public administrative establishment endowed with legal personality and financial autonomy.

In liaison with the public and private administrations and organizations concerned, the Standards and Quality Agency’s mission is to contribute to the development and implementation of government policy in the field of standardization and quality in Cameroon. As such, it is responsible for:

• Elaboration and Homologation of standards;
• Certification of conformity to standards;
• Promoting standards and the quality approach among public and Para public administrations and private-sector organizations;
• monitoring cooperation with international organizations and specialized committees in the field of standardization and quality;
• conducting studies on standardization and developing proposals for measures to improve the quality of products and services, and compliance with standards;
• disseminating information and documentation on standards;
• Any other mission entrusted to it by the Government in the field of standards and quality.
